Greer Karas is a twenty-six-year-old lawyer for a prestigious firm in New York and in a long term relationship with a man that decided it was no big deal to cheat on her. A girl's night filled with lots of alcohol and bad decisions leads to Greer and her bestie--Banner--placing a colorful ad for Greer's ideal partner. In the harsh light of day, Greer and Banner realize not only did they use Greer's real name, but that the ad went viral and news outlets everywhere are talking about it. Thousands of people have responded to the ad. Her brother is livid, and she knows this is just the tip of the iceberg. So when "the one who got away" shows up at her door to apply in person, she has a choice to make.
Cavanaugh Westman is Hollywood's hottest action star. But three years ago he was a maintenance man at Columbia University in New York. Cav is the epitome of superstar with captivating looks and alpha bad boy attitude, yet he remains painfully aware that he still isn't good enough for Greer Karas. Regardless of his recent success, Cav has always thought himself beneath the beautiful Greer. After reading her ad, he decides once and for all he is claiming his woman. Cav knows that after the way he just up and left Greer three years ago she may not be too happy to see him, but she will just have to get over it.
Yet again I am thoroughly impressed with the intriguing characters that this author consistently delivers. From the start of chapter one to the last page where things are "to be continued," I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster from laugh-out-loud funny to set-the-kindle-ablaze sexy times. I could not put this book down. Can't wait for the next installment to see what happens with Cav & Greer.
