Lacy Maguire is a photographer who has no desire for a relationship with a man of any kind. After catching her despicable husband cheating on her, she has decided to be content with her dog and three cats. All of her friends and especially her mother keep trying to talk her into giving love one more try. She just isn’t interested, until she runs up on an armed, bleeding man in her yard.

Detective Chase Kelly has had one of the worse nights of his life. Not only has he learned his partner has turned bad, but he has been framed for shooting a fellow officer. Tired, bleeding and cold, he just needs a place to rest for a few minutes. Suddenly, he hears a dog barking close by, and he looks up to see most sexy woman he has seen in a long time. Unfortunately, she thinks he is the bad guy. How do you convince someone you are innocent? You hand cuff them to the bed.

Trying to stay alive long enough to prove Chase’s innocence becomes a priority to Lacy. That is a very difficult thing to do when you have an ex-husband stopping by unannounced, friends calling and leaving embarrassing messages on your machine, and a mother who is the queen of interference. Not to mention a dirty cop who shows up at your door looking for your newest lover who is in the next room.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading DIVORCED, DESPERATE AND DELICIOUS. It is a great book with just the right mix of seriousness and humor. I loved the characters. They were real to life, and I liked the way they tried to fight their attraction to each other. The love scenes are very romantic and hot. They show an irresistible attraction between two people who have nothing to lose but their hearts. I had never read a book by Christie Craig, but after reading this book, I am combing the book shelves for any book she has written!!
