GETTING DIRTY (SAPPHIRE FALLS BOOK 3) has lots of dirt - dirt from the land and animals, composting and mud, along with sexual innuendos, sexy talk and actions that kept me turning the pages.  It was great to be back in Sapphire Falls where there were some surprises at every turn.

Nicholas' GETTING DIRTY is a steamy, romantic contemporary from one of my favorite authors that reunites us with many characters in the small town of Sapphire Falls, Nebraska.  This is Lauren and Travis' story and what a surprise to see how they connect with each other - even when trying not to - and the heat and chemistry that they generate.  Lauren doesn't seem to want to get to know the real Travis - only what she thinks she knows of Farmer Boy.  Travis has lots of nicknames for Lauren - City, Dr. D, Doc, baby doll, honey and darlin' and really seems to know her and get her which surprises Lauren no end since she insulates herself and only lets a few people in due to heartache she suffered when she was younger.  Seeing her get dirty is worth it since she tends to reveal herself little by little to Travis and we get to know some of her history and why she acts the way she does!  Lauren seems always to be running away to where she feels safe and Travis keeps knocking down her barriers.  There was laughter, tears, sorrow, hurt, happiness, angst, fear, dirt, festivals, friends and family, lots of animals, the farm and the businesses along with romance and love and lots of loving and steam flying off the pages.  There was a happily ever after in the offing and some closure but not enough.  An epilogue would have been nice.  I hope the series continues so we can meet up with all the characters I've grown to love while reading the first three books!

I have now read all of the books in Nicholas' THE BRADFORD SERIES and the COUNTING ON LOVE SERIES and the three books in the SAPPHIRE FALLS SERIES.  I'm hoping this series continues since Travis has brothers that seem to need their own stories - Tucker, Ty and T.J. I can't wait to read her other books I have missed along the way.
