GETTING OUT OF HAND (SAPPHIRE FALLS BOOK ONE) kept my interest from beginning to end and engaged my emotions throughout.  My heart hurt along with Adrianne's and Mason's but when there was joy and hope there was a freeness to my soul.

Nicholas' GETTING OUT OF HAND is a quick paced, steamy at times, romantic contemporary from one of my favorite authors that introduces us to many characters in the small town of Sapphire Falls.  This is Adrianne's and Mason's story told from the minute they meet, to the discussions of his selling his land and investing in Sapphire Hills or not in the town he grew up in but wants to forget, to their romance and love.  There was laughter, tears, heartache, steamy sex and lots of it, townspeople, friends and many reminisces of when they were all in school together.  Adrianne was the only one of the characters besides Mason's scientific and business partner, Lauren, who didn't grow up there.  The mayor, Hailey, who also has a history with Mason and not a good one, was someone hard to like but then she'd go and do something nice and out of character and I couldn't help but smile. The descriptions of the town along with the stories shared made me feel that I was there. There were a lot of twists and turns to the storyline and Adrianne and Mason both seemed not to have a backbone and let everyone walk all over them.  But when they got strength, and they always did, there was almost a fierceness to them - like don't mess with me!  There was a happily ever after that had its own twist and turns and nice closure although I know we'll be meeting up with everyone again in BOOK 2, GETTING WORKED UP, and I for one cannot wait!

I have now read all of the books in Nicholas' THE BRADFORD SERIES and the COUNTING ON LOVE SERIES and I can't wait to read the rest of the SAPPHIRE FALLS SERIES along with her other books I have missed along the way.  I wasn't sure if I could like characters as much as I did the Bradfords and Dixons and all their friends but those in Sapphire Falls have also captured my heart. Nicholas brings both sweetness and heat to her character's lives and I want to be a part of it all!
