Amanda Thompson is in desperate need of a job with health benefits in order to help care for her seriously ill sister.  When she is hired for what she thinks is a position as a junior executive at a Manhattan firm, things start to look up for Amanda.  That is until she takes a business trip with her new boss, Logan Winter, and it becomes clear that he is expecting a whole lot more from her.  Amanda is shocked when Logan tries to have sex with her.  It then becomes apparent that Amanda has been mistakenly hired as a call girl.

Logan Winter has suffered tremendous losses in his life.  He has shut himself off from the rest of the world emotionally.  He prefers to hire high end call girls to satisfy his sexual needs in order to avoid any kind of serious relationship.  When he realizes that his newly hired employee is not what he was expecting, he must decide if he will open up his heart and let someone love him.  Will Amanda be able to show Logan that it is okay to let love find its way into his heart?

Amanda’s loyalty to her family is very admirable.  She is a very courageous, independent character who deserves the love of a good man.  I cheered her on as she struggled to help Logan open up his heart to her.

Logan comes across as a gruff man who doesn’t really care about others.  At times he is domineering and bossy.  Underneath his rough exterior lies a very thoughtful and caring man who has suffered tremendous loss in his life.  It is fun to watch him slowly open up to Amanda and experience love for the first time in years.

ECLIPSE OF THE HEART will captivate readers with its deeply moving storyline.  Carly Carson has managed to capture the essence of true love.  For an unforgettable story of the power of love to heal all wounds, look no further than ECLIPSE OF THE HEART.
