Corey Wachawski has been watching Erica for months at the bar where the firefighters go to hang out but he’s always felt that she was too smart for him and has never approached her. It’s his friend Griff’s not so gentle nudge that finally forces him to introduce himself and surprisingly enough Erica proves to be more adventurous than Corey would have ever believed.
Dale ‘Griff’ Griffin is Corey’s best friend and he’s well aware of the attraction Corey feels for Erica. Griff also finds Erica appealing and he wouldn’t mind being with her himself. However, Griff isn’t just attracted to Erica; he’s also interested in Corey and when the opportunity arises to engage in a threesome he jumps at the chance.
While Corey and Griff might be under the impression that their night together could be the start of something beautiful, Erica is merely living a little before dealing with the reality of her medical situation and the choices she’ll have to make. She’s completely unaware of the drama that’s unfolding between Corey and Griff as the men acknowledge their attraction to one another and Dale admits to his fears about becoming involved in a ménage with Corey and Erica. What he doesn’t realize is that he’s already a vital part of the relationship – a relationship Erica’s tried very hard to avoid because she’s terrified that her medical problems might be too much for any man to handle.
Sami Lee’s ERICA’S CHOICE is a fun story that contains a deeply personal message. Anyone who’s ever received a devastating diagnosis and faced difficult choices will be able to empathize with Erica, but oh, to have such fine male specimens at your disposal at such a time would make it less painful. I loved seeing how the relationship between Corey, Griff and Erica developed over time even though it was sometimes difficult for all of them. Ms. Lee incorporates the perfect amount of angst, passion, friendship and suspense to make ERICA’S CHOICE a story that will reinforce your belief that love conquers all.
