While at the party, Maddie sneaks out of the room to smoke a cigarette. She comes across a room filled with adults in costumes and plenty of cigarette smoke, so she figures it would be alright to smoke in there. As she sits down, a man in a bunny costume comes over to chat. His name is Cole Ashton, and his friend talked him into coming to the party. Maddie thinks it is a children's party, but boy is she wrong! They end up chatting and exchanging phone numbers. Several days later Cole shows up at a house viewing appointment with Maddie. When she realizes it's the bunny from the party, things get hot and heavy between them. Maggie is shocked at how easily she gave herself to Cole.
Corrine has talked Maddie into going to a Divorcee Anonymous meeting. This is quite the group of divorcees, and they quickly become friends. After another night of hot and wild lovemaking, Cole quickly tells Maddie that their time together was more than just sex. Will Maddie have the courage to start another relationship, and can she admit to herself that she just might love Cole?
Dakota Cassidy has written yet another entertaining short story. This one is a definite keeper, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Cole and Maddie's first meeting is hilarious, and the fun just keeps right on going in this first Ex-Files story. I hope to see more from this series!
