Belle March has been forced to mourn privately since the death of her lover Sean Ryan. They’d kept their relationship a secret due to the nature of Sean’s job as an Attorney General and a special prosecutor for high profile cases. Putting her at risk is something that he made every effort to prevent, but because of his caution, when a new man enters her life he reminds her very much of Sean and she’s finding it more and more difficult to accept that Sean and Jack are not the same man.
Jack Caldwell is a man on a mission. Ever since he first met Belle in the park he’s been captivated by her. It’s obvious she’s attracted to him but for some reason she’s afraid of her feelings. What he doesn’t realize is that her fear is because, despite the differences, he very much reminds her of Sean.
Belle has been dating Clay Rothschild for the past two months and while he’s nice enough and definitely good looking, he doesn’t do anything for her sexually. Since her meeting with Jack in the park, Belle’s become very aware that her lack of desire has nothing to do with Sean’s death, it’s because she isn’t physically attracted to Clay. Having made the decision to break things off with him, she accompanies him to a company dinner, where as luck would have it, the new partner Clay’s been complaining about turns out to be none other than Jack Caldwell. As the evening progresses, Jack and Belle get into a pretty sensitive discussion and it’s obvious the attraction they’re feeling is mutual but she’s there as Clay’s date and he’ll be taking her home. That doesn’t mean that Jack is out of the picture though because he fully intends to ensure that even though Clay escorts Belle home, that’s ALL he’ll be doing. As far as Jack’s concerned, Belle belongs with him. Things only get hotter, when he follows the couple to Belle’s condominium and intrudes only to discover that Clay already left – leaving the field wide open to a real man who’s well aware of just what a woman like Belle truly wants. Belle wrestles with her confusion over her feelings for Jack and all the ways he reminds her too much of Sean – even going so far as to accuse him of being the same man. Jack is extremely possessive and there’s no way he’ll tolerate her obsession over another man and her insistent comparisons. If she persists, he’s going to have to end their relationship. Will Jack’s dominant nature be capable of EXORCIZING SEAN’S GHOST before it’s too late?
Beth Kery presents readers with an extremely satisfying storyline with her newest release EXORCIZING SEAN’S GHOST. From the first page, the reader is drawn into Belle’s love for Sean, her devastation over his loss and her confusion over being attracted to Jack who reminds her of her lost love. I quickly found myself immersed in the mystery behind the man and couldn’t put this book down until I knew for sure his true identity. Add the heated romance, raw emotional appeal and unexpected humor found throughout the storyline and you have a book that is sure to keep you enchanted for hours.
