For Lauren Donovan assessing risk is more than a job. It’s the guideline by which she’s lived her life - until now. At the age of thirty-five, Lauren has decided to throw caution to the wind and visit Atlantic City for a long weekend. When she literally runs into Tru she believes he’s the perfect man to aid her in experiencing her favorite sexual fantasy - sex in the woods.

Truman Madison may make his living as a gambler but taking a chance at love is one gamble that he’s successfully avoided so far. Bumping into a woman at the casino and having her rise to his sexual innuendos and inquire if he’s ever ‘done it in the woods?’ may be just the catalyst he needs to find the woman of his dreams.

Tru isn’t one to turn down a sexy offer like the one Lauren’s just handed him and he knows the perfect place too - the Pine Barrens. They indulge in a reckless and wild sex tryst in the woods. Tru claims that he has moves that should be patented and Lauren wholeheartedly agrees. Since it’s November, once the passion dies down a little they both begin to notice the cold. When they go to get dressed and leave, their clothes are missing and there’s a note left on Tru’s car demanding ten thousand dollars "or else," but there was no contact information or even a drop off location mentioned. Thankfully, Tru had been smart enough to take the keys to the car with him and lock their valuables in the car.

It appears that it could be somebody playing a practical joke. Who in their right mind would think that they’d pay that much to get their clothes back? They drive to Tru’s home in nothing more than their shoes where they get to know each other better and indulged in some more rousing sexual escapades. They are happily dozing together when they hear the sound of breaking glass. Someone has thrown a rock through his dining room window with a note attached. It looks like whoever stole their clothes in the woods has followed them to Tru’s home. The situation takes a dangerous turn and Lauren may have to put her own life on the line in order to save Tru. Is she willing to take the risk?

Barrie Abalard has intrigued me with her storylines involving poker players. I loved both of her other books with this theme - POKER BRAT and POKER STUD but EXPOSED has an additional suspense element that really keeps the storyline hopping. The budding romance between Tru and Lauren is ultra-hot and may very well give you some naughty ideas of your own. EXPOSED is a well thought out tale full of passion, friendship, love, intrigue, and a life lesson that will remind us that sometimes risks are more than worth taking.
