But as Nick waits for Zholgo on a private island, he is in shock to find a naked and beautiful woman swimming in the pool on the property where Nick is expecting to welcome Zhoglo. Thinking she may be a trap by Zholgo, he handcuffs her and questions her. But at the same time, he can’t help but wonder what it will be like to kiss her.
Becca Cattrell is not having a good life in general. She is on an extended vacation ever since her fiancé was in a car accident due to some hanky panky he was having while driving with a female passenger. Becca now wants to live on the wild side and thinks going skinny dipping in a pool on a vacant property will be the best way. But when a scary and murderous looking guy basically attacks her, Becca realizes her staid life looks pretty good.
Becca has placed herself in danger by being on the island, and by the time she figures out who Nick is, it is too late because Zholgo and his thugs have arrived. Through some acting on Becca’s part and Nick’s survival’s skills, he is able to get them off the island and hope Zholgo doesn’t come looking for them. But it is too late, Zholgo wants revenge and will hurt anyone close to Becca and Nick to get what he wants. As Becca allows Nick into her life and her heart, they try to come to an understanding, unaware that danger is right around the corner for both of them.
EXTREME DANGER is an action-packed and sexually charged book. If you are a fan of Shannon McKenna’s past reads, you know what you are getting into. The romance is blunt, hot and sexy with page after page of incredibly charged sex between Nick and Becca. Zhoglo is one villain who is so sickening in his actions that I couldn’t believe how he could have come from McKenna’s imagination. This was truly one difficult read because of the torture, murders and lack of trust that happens from all ends.
This book will not be for everyone because of the nature of the story. There are crimes against children, which include Sveti, prostitution, organ stealing and so much more that will make you cringe. But McKenna grabs you by the throat and won’t let you go. I couldn’t turn away from the pages as I had to find out if Nick and Becca would survive so they would be together. EXTREME DANGER is not for the faint of heart but is one emotional, on the edge of your seat story that should not be missed!
