For Dara there’s nothing more exhilarating than skiing the slopes with her best friends, Kane and Jack.  Over the past four years they’ve formed a unique friendship complete with rituals.  The only downside is the men don’t seem to notice that she’s a woman – and available.

Kane and Jack are the best of friends.  Since high school they’ve shared hopes, dreams, a condo, vacations - and now they share a desire for their best friend Dara.   Kane and Jack can’t imagine their lives without her and wholeheartedly agree that she’d be perfect for either of them but wouldn’t that destroy the easy friendship they share?  It’s not a risk either of them is willing to take.

Kane, Jack and Dara love spending time together and none of them could resist playing hooky from work and spending the afternoon on the slopes.  They’ve never needed to use the walkie-talkies they all carry for emergency purposes but they have come in handy when they needed to talk with each other and they prove to have an unexpected advantage when one of the guys accidentally hit the send button on his unit and Dara becomes privy to a private conversation about how they’re both interested in her but agreed that she’s off limits.  Well, Dara has a few fantasies of her own involving Kane and Jack and now that she knows they want her too, she’s determined to turn their annual pre-Christmas ski trip into one none of them will ever forget.  While the men’s biggest argument seems to be which one of them Dara should be with, Dara’s concern is getting the men to see that she has no intention of choosing between them.  She loves them both … but convincing them that a ménage relationship on and off the slopes is exactly what she needs.

FALLING, FREESTYLE kicks off Vivian Arend’s XTREME ADVENTURES series with a pulse pounding storyline, passionate encounters and the sort of ribbings only best friends can share (or get away with).  I thoroughly enjoyed reading about this trio’s friendship and their competitive spirit on the slopes.  Dara, Kane and Jack are interesting characters with a strong love for the outdoors and healthy respect for each other.  I’ve always enjoyed friends to lovers story because of the vulnerability and emotions that are part and parcel with making such a monumental change to the relationship and Ms. Arend handles that aspect beautifully.  FALLING, FREESTYLE will get readers adrenaline pumping and bring a smile to your face as you imagine Dara, Kane and Jack’s adventures.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the next title in the XTREME ADVENTURES series, RISING, FREESTYLE releasing July 5th.
