While FOOL IN LOVE is not a conventional romance novel, nor even a work of fiction, it is one of the most entertaining and riveting books I have read in a long time.

Steven Ivory has bared his soul in this honest, poignant, and often humorous account of his search for love. He treats the reader to a wide range of experiences, from a most touching tribute to his mother, to tales of dates gone bad and relationships gone flat. I found myself laughing out loud while reading of a relationship that was ruled by a cat, only to be teary-eyed upon reading of the author's discovery of the death of a long-distance lover. His tale of an impromptu strip-tease job kept me in stitches, and his pre-teen discovery of the life-saving properties of Kotex napkins had me holding my breath and laughing at the same time. His words of tribute for his mother would touch any woman's heart, and his respect for women shines through in every tale recounted in this book.

Mr. Ivory takes an honest and humorous look at himself and his search for love, providing the reader with a highly entertaining glimpse of the trials and tribulations along the way. He exhibits a refreshing vulnerability, which allows the reader to identify with the ups and downs in his or her own search for love. FOOL IN LOVE is a book that I recommend without hesitation, and I sincerely hope that there are more gems from Mr. Ivory's pen in future.
