Kristianna Harrington was practically raised by her grandmother in the city of
where the spirit of Christmas lives in
the heart all year long. Since her grandmother died, Kristianna has assumed the running of her grandmother’s shop, Forever Christmas
. However, with the closing of the
town is slowly dying. Forever Christmas may end up closing as well. Kristianna is also known as the runaway bride since she abandoned her wedding and ended her second engagement before it got that far.
As she helps plan her friend Ami’s wedding, she wonders if she will be able to make it down the aisle as Ami’s maid-of-honor.
Her stilted relationship with her parents, both of whom are lawyers trying to get her to follow in the family profession, leaves her with no great love for that career.
Now there are investors who want to buy the
and open the Summer Valley Outdoors store in their town.
Although it would help the town financially, the deal breaker would be that the investors want the town renamed
Kristianna is vehemently against renaming the town and it seems that half of the town is with her.
As she struggles to prevent changing the name of the town, a newcomer Shawn who happens to be a lawyer starts a petition to get the town renamed. Kristianna
struggles between her attraction to him and her enmity to lawyers as well as his part in helping the investors. Will she fall for him or will she end up with Garrett, her best friend and the one she has had a crush on since she was ten years old? Will she be able to prevent the changing of the town name? If she does, will the town die off?
Reading FOREVER CHRISTMAS was a real pleasure. This Christian romance is filled with humor, warmth and suspense. The secondary characters add appeal to the story. The story is so well developed that the reader will be rooting for Kristianna and wishing for a town like Jingle Belles of their own. I highly recommend FOREVER CHRISTMAS.
