Sorbonne student and retired au pair, Alexandra Ward loves her life in Paris. She has a fabulous boyfriend and is busy studying all things Parisian. What more could a girl want? Then, things sour when the boyfriend dumps her and she is left to wallow. Unexpected opportunities arise however for Alexandra when she meets a wealthy and older gentleman, Jean-Albert. He is a mover and shaker in France and he has his eyes on Alexandra. Soon, money, gifts, jewels, and an exciting new life open up for her as Alexandra embraces the fashionable persona of the courtesan. She is not a mistress. Instead, Alexandra lets Jean-Albert shower her with gifts and rewards all for the benefit of her company.

And when other men become interested, Alexandra starts to realize just how much power a courtesan can have. But for an American girl in Paris, is a life of parties, shallow relationships, and flirtations what she truly craves, or is there a man who can truly make her happy?

FRENCH TRYSTS is Parisian to its core! Filled with the romance, sensuality, and yearnings of the City of Light, Kirsten Lobe hits a high mark on creating an evocative setting for her story. Alexandra becomes a stunning, subtle and sly woman as the story continues. Quite fitting for the setting in which she stages her seductions. The men in her life may not be young, but they certainly fulfill her in other ways, but all her musings about love lead to a fitting conclusion. There is deceit, impropriety, and lust aplenty in FRENCH TRYSTS, but it is a wicked impropriety that will keep you turning pages to see how the life of a modern day courtesan plays out.
