Lieutenant Daniel Murphy had been the lead guitarist with an up-and-coming band when he met Stephanie five years ago. He had been blown away from their first meeting and had been unable to forget their five days together before she left. No woman had matched her since then. But when he heard that she had been captured, he went ballistic, wanting to go to Iraq and bring her back. However, nothing he or his wealthy family had tried worked. For some time he has wanted to do something more meaningful. So after going into a rage one time too many, he had signed up for the Navy.
Arriving back in Norfolk after six months at sea, Danny had been the last one off of the ship. After all, he had no one to meet him. He had a few days to himself and then he had to head to his parent’s home where his brother Jack and his fiancée were getting married. Walking off of the ship, he was shocked to see Stephanie, believing for a moment that he was hallucinating. Agreeing to go to dinner, he took her to his home. But no one could be more shocked than he when she propositioned him. Honored that she would come to him and wanting her even more than he had before, there was no way he was going to say no. But as they spent time together, he realized that he wanted forever with her. However, she is holding him at arms’ length except for their time in bed. Can he convince her that they belong together in the twenty day they have, or is this short interval all that they will ever have?
Hot, Hot, Hot! FULL SURRENDER, the final book in talented author Joanne Rock’s MURPHY MEN series, is a witty, passionate contemporary romance that will enthrall you from the very beginning of the story. I read it in one sitting, finding it impossible to put the book down until I found out how it ended. The Murphy clan is rambunctious and absolutely delightful, while the passion between Danny and Stephanie is explosive and instantaneous. Filled with humor, family dynamics, smoking hot passion, witty banter, engaging characters, PTSD, life threatening situations, healing and true love, FULL SURRENDER is unforgettable. Although it is not necessary to read the rest of the series before reading this story, I advise reading them for the entertainment value. In fact, as soon as I finished reading this book the first thing I did was search for the rest of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great story with plenty of spice.
