Her Sister's Keeper
By Kim
Jul 23, 2004 - 7:10:00 AM

Logan Corbett is taking care of her little sister Kim after a tragic plane crash took the life of her parents. They were headed to one of Kim's gymnastic meets when the plane went down leaving Kim partially paralyzed.

When Dr. Zachary Dellinger tells Logan that he thinks it would be a great idea for Kim to attend summer camp for children with special needs, she is hesitant to send her. Kim wants to go and is angry that Logan is so overprotective. Logan agrees when she decides that she will volunteer to be one of the camp nurses.

The camp is beautiful and Kim flourishes. Logan struggles to keep her relationship with Dr. Dellinger platonic. The only disagreement that occurs is Logan holding too tightly to Kim. Can Logan let go to give Kim the room to get better? Will she allow Dr. Dellinger to become part of their lives?

Sydell Voeller's HER SISTERS KEEPER is a poignant story of two strong young women overcoming the loss of their parents. While Logan is learning to be a guardian to Kim they struggle to keep the bond as sisters. The development of Kim and Logan's relationship was heartwarming to see. It brought a smile to my face when Kim approved of her big sister's relationship. HER SISTER'S KEEPER is a great read and I look forward to future books from Sydell Voeller.
