Julia Sullivan has inherited her Aunt Miriam's house. It's exactly what she needs to help her move on with her life. She's been separated from her husband, Patrick, for a year now. She's just waiting for Patrick to sign the papers and then the divorce proceedings could begin. Julia is in the process of cleaning and redecorating when Patrick shows up on her doorstep. He's not ready to give up on their marriage just yet. To get him to sign the divorce papers, Julia tells him there's someone else.

Patrick refuses to accept that his relationship with Julia is over. He's prepared to fight for the woman he loves. He finds the perfect excuse to stick around when he finds out she's looking for someone to repair her roof. When he gets injured on the job, Julia has no choice but to allow Patrick to stay with her while he heals.

Meanwhile, Julia discovers her aunt's old journal and finds some startling entries. She begins to suspect that her aunt's death wasn't the accident she was told it was. Can Julia convince Patrick that something happened? Will Julia's snooping lead her to the same fate as her aunt?

HERE TO STAY is a sweet, yet suspenseful tale of reunited lovers and unanswered questions. Jenyfer Matthews has crafted a story that really has you wondering whodunit and why. The answers aren't as clear cut as you'd think.

The relationship between Julia and Patrick is real and tender. Patrick knows he wants Julia back, but she's not so sure. Julia still loves him but fears giving in to her feelings. She's afraid they'll slip back into old habits and they won't be any better off. I loved watching them work things out, and I kept wondering if this time it would last. You've got to read this one to find out.
