HITTIN' IT OUT THE PARK burned up the sheets and anything surrounding the characters of Randy, Cheryl, Sexy, and Yusef. Randy and Yusef are ballplayers with the New York Yankees, but they are out of their league when it comes to whom they surround themselves with. They might be good on the field, but off it they need to protect themselves better.

Hobbs and Quinones Miller's HITTIN' IT OUT THE PARK doesn't have much of a story line. Randy is from Alabama, an over-the-top baseball player who gets a shot with the New York Yankees. He's insecure and latches onto the first pretty face he sees. Cheryl has her own agenda and lots of secrets. While she does eventually grow to love Randy and becomes his wife, she often has a funny way of showing it. Enter another player, Yusef, who falls for Sexy before he gets called up to the Yankees. There are even more secrets. She's not who she pretends to be and uses her body to entice men--who seem to fall all over themselves to get to know her. Sexy's tactics are to get as much attention, adoration, and gifts as she possibly can. When she sets her sights on something or someone, there really is no stopping her!

The secrets surrounding both Sexy and Cheryl are sure to derail both of them, but unfortunately the story ends without the secrets ever being revealed. With a lot of twists and turns, Randy ends up with Sexy, and it's not going to be for the best!

This story is full of lies, deceit, sex, and money. Emotions run the gamut, and much is emphasized on material objects over love. There is so much story that's left hanging.

Hobbs and Quinones Miller are new-to-me authors. I would like to read the next book in the series if there is one, only because there were too many unanswered questions. I couldn't find whether there would be other books to give the closure needed on either author's website, book sites or Goodreads. Their style of writing was a little bit too erotic for me, and I was often uncomfortable reading certain parts of the book. But if you like a steamy read full of secrets, this might be one for you.
