Grady McKinney never liked to stay in one place for too long, he took odd jobs wherever he could and when that got old; he just moved on. Grady thought he would stop and visit his family in Crystal Creek on his way to New Orleans. Unfortunately a few miles from his dad’s ranch Grady’s truck broke down and he had to have it towed. The tow truck driver was in an accident with Grady’s truck, and he ended up stuck in Crystal Creek until he could settle the law suit. When Grady heard that Tara was looking for help fixing up the house he went in search of a job.
Not only was Grady a great worker, he was also great with Del. Tara found herself falling in love with Grady, but she knew he never stayed in one place for long. Grady was crazy about Tara too but he knew she was not the kind of woman a guy had an affair with, she was the kind he married. Can Grady give up his roaming days and settle down, even for the woman he loves and her son that he adores?
HOME TO TEXAS was the kind of book that makes you feel good inside. This is the first book I have read in the Crystal Creek, Texas series but it does stand alone and can be read without the others. However, I did enjoy reading about the other characters and will be looking for more of this series in the future.
