When Shelley got to the presentation, it was already in progress.  Not a good way to impress upon your father you are capable of taking over the family business, especially if your jacket is buttoned wrong, and your shell label is showing in the front actually inside out. Does Shelley call her best friend Nina Olson and go shopping, or does she visit her therapist, Dr. Howard Millnick?

Ross Morgan, is her father's indispensable man at Schwartz and Associates and Shelley resents him.  Ross seems to be the son her father never had.  He seems to be so perfect.  Will Shelley change her mind about Ross?  Can Shelley forget about being with Ross in the supply closet last year?  Can Shelley continue to work for Ross? After her father has a heart attack, there are some major changes.

Judy Schwartz Blumfeld is Shelley's sister who is married to Craig, has two boys and loves to bake.  If she gets upset, there are quite a few cakes and pies to go around.  Judy seems to have the perfect life. Both Shelly and Nina want the life Judy has, but is really ideal? Judy wants to work outside of the house but Craig does not want to hear of that.  Does it work out for Judy?

HOSTILE MAKEOVER is one fantastic read.  It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and it makes you think.  Each of us has a family with some type of problem.  How the problem gets solved is the question.  Does it get solved with love?   Do people break up for good?  I love the way Wendy Wax writes, and I will be looking forward to her next venture.  Wendy has a wonderful sense of humor.  Her previous books, LEAVE IT TO CLEAVAGE and 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS, will have you laughing also. I loved each of these books. Thank you so much for writing HOSTILE MAKEOVER, Wendy.
