Sous Chef Jill Morgan Storm is a single mother with a chaotic life. If she is not chasing after her beloved iron skillet from her ex, she is calming her boss down from his drunken rampage and slightly psychotic gestures to unsuspecting people. What’s more, she decides to send out a survey to happily married women asking them what the key to a successful marriage is and determines the secret formula is: to marry traveling salesmen.
Enter Davin Wesley. He is exactly the opposite of what she is looking for. Working as an elementary school teacher who is constantly popping in and out of her life, he refuses to fit her mold of the perfect potential husband. In addition, she tries her best to convince herself that he is not the one for her.
After several disastrous dates with potential future husbands, Jill finds her job maybe in jeopardy. She has no money for her son to go to college and Davin just will not quit popping into her life. She finally concedes to his smooth moves and fire-hot kisses. Hot flash after hot flash overwhelms this forty-year-old when he is around and her libido screams yes. However, with a guarded heart, can Jill see Davin is the one for her?
HOT FLASH is possibly one of the best books I have read in a long time. I loved it! When I was not laughing aloud, which was not very often, I was swept away by the budding romance between Davin and Jill. This one terrific book isn’t to be missed. I highly recommend HOT FLASH to anyone who loves to read romance. You will not be disappointed.
