Professor Jonathan Kent teaches European Erotic Literature at the university. He’s been looking for a woman like Rosemary - one who would love him and could appreciate his brand of dominance. Rosemary is a student of his and that makes any sexual relationship between them taboo, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking about it.
Charlie died suddenly of an aneurysm leaving Rosemary alone after twelve years of marriage. Two years later, Rosemary enters professor Kent’s English class at graduate school. Before he’s even begun teaching, she gets in trouble for allowing her mind to wander. Jonathan inquires if she means to be in his class and then follows it up with an offer of a caning. The classmates find their exchange humourous and as infuriating as it should be to Rosemary, it turns her on. She can easily imagine him administering the discipline she desperately craves. It’s just too bad that he’s her professor and so much younger. Jonathan is intrigued by Rosemary, it’s not often he comes across a woman who has the audacity to sass him. He can visualize paddling her luscious backside. Full figured, older, and she keeps calling him "sir" - all traits that Jonathan really likes in a woman. If he wants to make tenure this year, he has to toe the line and that means not getting involved with any of the students - but Rosemary is just too tempting to resist.
Rosemary and Jonathan are truly likable characters. Even though they are strongly attracted to each other, neither of them is comfortable getting involved because of the teacher/student relationship which just makes the heated vibes between them practically bounce off the pages. Barrie Abelard delivers a storyline you can really get into whether you love a man that heats your seat or just the idea of being lovingly disciplined. HOT FOR TEACHER is a heart-touching story that shows that even after a heartbreaking loss you can find love again.
