I Shagged the Sheriff

Daisy Mae Partridge loves working for A Liberated Woman. Selling sexual aids to women in need of a little extra something in the bedroom has proven to be quite lucrative and a whole lot of fun. There’s just one little problem - sex toys are illegal in Boxer County, Florida.

Sheriff Tom Williams takes his job far too seriously and isn’t about to let his feelings for Daisy deter him from upholding the law . . . especially when he learns that his own mother has booked one of Daisy’s parties. No amount of threats or cajoling convinces either woman to cancel the party, if anything they seem to enjoy his discomfort over the situation.

Eva Williams may be a pillar of the community but she has her needs too. She’s decided that A Liberated Woman party is just what she needs. Daisy isn’t so sure it’s a good idea, not only is it illegal to own a sex toy in Boxer County but the partygoers will be the uppercrust women of the community and over sixty. Another good reason not to have the party is Eva’s son, Tom. He used to be so much fun but he’s changed and become so uptight that Daisy hardly recognizes the man she once knew.

Tom can’t believe that his own mother has scheduled one of Daisy’s parties. He actually confronts her and <gasp> forbids her to have a sex toy party. That was the wrong thing to say and he soon finds himself uninvited for Sunday dinner and on the wrong side of his mother. Still the law’s the law and it’s his sworn duty to uphold it. He’s been avoiding Daisy ever since she returned to town a year ago but this situation is going to bring them together in a big way. Daisy’s out to liberate women’s right to sexual fulfillment and Tom’s determined to uphold the law - no matter how asinine. The one thing they can agree on is the simple fact that the sexual tension between them is well worth breaking out the handcuffs - even if it is in the name of the law.

Nancy Lindquist’s I SHAGGED THE SHERIFF is one truly fun story you’ll want to read many times over. It’s filled with laugh out loud funny scenes, scorching sex scenes, characters you’ll love and one idiotic law that needs changing. I loved the whole plot to the story and really enjoyed the way Tom and Daisy seem to go out of their way to antagonize each other. He's so uptight and she's such a free spirit that you just never know what will happen when they're together and things really heat up once the handcuffs come out. If you're looking for a fun-filled story full of heart and heat then this one is for you.
