Dalton Carrington has been intrigued by Kat ever since their confrontation at the Owner’s Conference. He managed to snag an invite from his editor for a one night visitation to Incognito, and judging by Kat’s attitude when he arrives, having him there is not a welcome surprise.
Dalton truly didn’t plan on antagonizing Kat just by his mere presence, but he soon discovers a perverse enjoyment in her reactions to him. When she ‘welcomed’ him to the club she expressly forbade him to question any of her patrons for his new book. Dalton comes across Dr. Jonathon Sinclair and during the course of their discussion, he meets Jon’s brother, Jackson, and their wife, Rachel. It’s a fascinating triad and Dalton mentions that he’d like to interview them for his next book. Of course Kat overhears and she sees it as the perfect excuse to throw him out. What she hadn’t anticipated was Jon aiding the enemy by offering him a recommendation for membership. That move allows him admittance as a prospective member. She finds every loop hole she can only to be thwarted by Jack’s input. The claws are going to come out as these two head strong people go head to head. They’re both determined to win in their battle of wills but in this relationship there’s only room for one Master. Will Kat be wiling to risk her reputation and everything she’s come to expect as a Mistress for Dalton? What about Carl? Sure he’s strictly for looks and Kat and he have never engaged in anything remotely sexual, but he has been playing the part of her submissive since Incognito opened its doors - how will he react to the possibility that his ‘Mistress’ needs a Master?
Madison Layle and Anna Leigh Keaton present readers with a storyline that will keep you engrossed in the pages with their INCOGNITO series. COLLARING KAT takes readers behind the scenes of the Incognito club and allows us to see Kat as a woman who’s very confused by the emotional pull she’s feeling toward Dalton. Temper that with the reputation of Mistress that she’s upheld for years and you can easily see and understand her fears. Dalton is about as Alpha as they come. He’s not going to let Kat get away with pushing him aside simply because of her fears-especially once he realizes that her relationship with Carl is nothing more than a smokescreen. I loved the wide range of emotions that I experienced while I read this story.
The next book in this series, CHARMING CARMEN was released on June 1, 2007 and it’s just as personable of a story. I definitely recommend reading the INCOGNITO series and adding them to your e-book bookself.
