Just Like A Dame

He answered the door, eyes wide open when he spotted the prettiest angel he's ever seen. She was bawling and screeching at the top of her lungs hysterically, mumbling that she had murdered him! Max didn't want any part of her demise if she in fact did commit a crime but she was having no part of it. She grabbed his shirt and tried to pull him from the room.

Max was so befuddled, desperately trying to make sense of what she was saying. Of course it would help if he at least knew her name for starters! And when she told him her name was Angel, all he could do was shake his head with the coincidence of his nightly dream angel. She quickly brought him back to reality with her fast talking, Max was beginning to believe he was in a crime or mystery novel and this dame had lost her marbles!

Angel needed Max's help now and he grabbed his bag and followed her. She took him to where Henry lay on the floor unconscious. Quickly Max checks his vitals, asks Angel a couple questions about Henry's symptoms before he collasped only to determine that he couldn't help; Henry needed to be transported to the clinic.

Find out if Henry makes it when you read JUST LIKE A DAME by Daisy Dexter Dobbs. Ms. Dobbs has written a most hilarious story that will make your eyes water so much from laughter that you can't finish reading all the words at times. Max reminds me of the detective that we loved in those gangster movies. Angel is the dame that comes into the office and pleads her case while being dressed to the nines. I highly recommend this book for your collection.
