For many years Larissa has dreamed of buying the independent bookstore where she works, marrying her true love and getting married. But three years ago, her plans came apart when her engagement ended. So she rebuilt her dream around the one thing she truly believed in; romance, one with rules, not heartache.  She began two years ago by starting a blog, which quickly became popular. This led to a very popular monthly newspaper. All of which evolved around her favorite romance novels and the heroines in them. Over the past year, however, it has grown to include songs, movies, romantic getaways and recipes for breakfast in bed. Now she has not only her column, Larissa’s Rules of Romance, which has been picked up by a syndicated magazine, but she also offers advice and answers romantic questions all over the country, making her the nation’s leading authority on romance. All of this has led up to her current dream; opening a store featuring all things romantic.  All she needs is a location, but now that the perfect location, Cartwright Hotels, has opened up, she is not sure if she is ready. While she has been building a career around romance, she has also been working at her longtime job in a Victorian bookstore as clerk, manager and stock woman. The current owner wWenants to sell the bookstore and had figured Larissa would want to buy it, but that no longer seems to be her dream.

Jason Cantrell and his brother Peter traveled most of their lives with their archaeological parents and were now known for creating awesome adventures such as mountain climbing, rafting and hiking in exotic places. The money they made from their adventures had started out being for beer, but soon it turned into seed money for their new business, Can-Do Adventures. Their years traveling with their parents had given them the inside track on many of the places they had visited, enabling them to find the best places for their adventures. They were doing so well that by the time Peter graduated from college, Jason quit so he could work in the business full time. Jason had been engaged to Larissa, but after a bout of jealousy on his part, she ended the engagement. He still has feelings for her, but being a bit commitment phobic, he does not believe marriage and a life of adventure will work together.

However, now Peter wants to take a step back from the regular trips and neither brother wants to hire outside help. So, to maintain their income, they need to advertise to a higher paying class of adventurers and bring in some big groups. Therefore, they need to snag the Cartwright Hotel where they can entice the wealthy clientele and make the same number of trips led by just Jason. There is just one problem. There is only one store space left and Jason has a competitor for the spot.

The Cartwrights are gearing their new hotel and the attached boutique to couples, a perfect fit for Larissa’s business; though Jason is not aware she is his competitor. That is, not until they come face-to-face at a meeting with the owner. After the meeting, the owner leaves them to explore the space at their leisure. Left in the not yet opened building by themselves, they walk to the vacant space in the boutique where Larissa’s display has been set up. As she boxes up the display, there is a sudden blackout and the security bars jam down, leaving them locked in the boutique with no way out. They are desperate since being so close brings back memories of the past and their feelings for each other. As the night passes, their passion escalates. Can they rekindle the love they had for each other and overcome the mistakes of the past? Or will this just make matters worse?

A second chance at love, JUST FOR THE NIGHT is a witty, sensual contemporary romance that will have you quickly turning the pages to see what happens next. All he had to do was look at her and Larissa was ready to melt, ready to forget why they had split up, but she had to remember the big picture here and what had happened in the past. It is not until they get the chance to really communicate that she discovers he is not the only one responsible for their breakup. As for Jason, he discovers just how much he has hurt Larissa and begins to wonder if he can have both; the adventurous life he desires and marriage to the woman he loves. Deliciously blending sexual tension, heartfelt emotions, misunderstandings, humor, competition and love, talented author Tawny Weber has penned a story you do not want to miss! Reading JUST FOR THE NIGHT is a great way to wile away a lazy afternoon.
