SLAMMED is a wonderfully written heat filled romance that is hot at times as well as sweet at others.  Brooke and Dylan have wonderful chemistry but also don't always know how to relate to each other since they come from such different backgrounds.  They also look at life differently - Brooke is "buttoned up" as Dylan would say and Dylan thinks there's no sense in living if life isn't fun!

Jamieson's SLAMMED is a contemporary romance that's an emotional read which drew me into surfing and after reading it I felt like I knew some of the nuances of the sport. I could see and feel the waves and the sand and smell the ocean. There was heartache, despair, business - not only from the public relations side of things but the dedication that Dylan had to put into training, getting his equipment ready, manage his team, etc., plus family, friends, laughter, tears, caring, romance and ultimately love.  I loved the playfulness that Dylan and Brooke often had but not the biting and hurting comments. The epilogue tied everything up nicely and gave nice closure but I'd love to meet up with them again in future novels.

There were excerpts at the back of the book for both book 1 and 2 of this series, WITH STRINGS ATTACHED and HOW TO LOVE, respectively.  I will go back and read those to get background on some of the characters that had supporting roles here but were an integral part of the storyline.  Having read book 3 of the series first I felt there were some holes but the author did a good job in giving important details from those books to help fill them in. I had previously read Faceoff (Heller Brothers #2) which is about a professional hockey player.  I look forward to reading more of Jamieson's books and will definitely be adding her to my TBR pile that never seems to go down!
