As a child Meg Delancy announced that she was eventually going to have a TV show of her own. Her parents thought it was cute but they did not take her seriously. Thanks to hard work and persistence she landed the job as co-host on the 'Meg and Mel in the Morning' talk show. But the ratings were starting to slide, and in order to retain their number one position they needed a shot of excitement. While joking with Mel about her own nearly non-existent social life, Meg wonders if there are any good men left such as the western cowboys. Mel claims that the rugged cowboy seen in movies is only a myth. But Meg says that she bets there are lots of sexy, rope-swinging, spur-jingling, denim-clad cowboys left in the west.

The show goes to commercial break and the phones light up wanting Meg to search for the hottest cowboy in the west. That is how she ends up at the town of Sonoita searching for the Circle W Ranch. Clint Walker works on the Circle W Ranch but in the past his grandfather had owned the ranch and Clint hopes someday to own it. However he wants nothing to do with the Hottest Cowboy contest. He can't imagine having to be on TV or in the public eye so he disguises himself as a greenhorn hoping Meg will not know he is a cowboy and won't urge him to enter the contest. Since she would be staying at the ranch for a few days he will have to be very careful not to let his disguise slip.

When Meg arrives at the ranch there is an immediate attraction between them. To say that sparks fly is putting it mildly, their attraction for each other is powerful. But he needs to hide the fact that he is a cowboy and she has to guard her heart from this very attractive sexy man.

The author had me feeling the emotions of both Meg and Clint as they are forced to spend time together. She has incorporated humor, sex and adventure into a very interesting storyline. And the ending-well it is the stuff dreams are made of!
