Henry Beck, better known as Beck to those working with him, is all about winning the Rising Star Chef battle. So what if his wife, from whom he has been estranged for ten years, is part of the competition. Determined to go about business as usual, Beck sets out to ignore Skye. That becomes impossible when she walks up and calmly asks for a divorce. Beck senses there is still something between them and that his attempt at holding on just might be his downfall.

Skye is there to prove her worth to her family and friends as well as to gain publicity for her eating establishment. She really wants to win this challenge, even if it means going head to head with her husband. The one thing Skye is not counting on is her feelings for Beck reigniting so easily. The more they are in close proximity, the more she realizes she has never gotten over him. Skye is soon faced with a tough choice. Should she risk her heart in the hopes that Beck will return her love or should she just move on with her life?!

I have said it before and I will say it again, Louisa Edwards is supremely talented. You cannot go wrong with her contemporary romance novels. The first book that I ever read by her was TOO HOT TO TOUCH. It is the first novel in her RISING STAR CHEF series and I was hooked from the beginning. The idea of basing a trilogy of books on competitive cooking is genius and admittedly way better than television. After finishing it, I rushed out to pick up book number two in the series, SOME LIKE IT HOT. I loved it so much that I waited oh so patiently for the third book in the series, HOT UNDER PRESSURE. It was a beautiful way to finish off the RISING STAR CHEF series. I look forward to seeing what Ms. Edwards comes up with next.
