Zoe Jensen has been in love with Grant for a long time. When she was sixteen she told him how she felt, he turned her down and broke her heart. Grant has taken care of Zoe most of her life but she is ready to move on. Zoe wants Grant but he only wants to stay best friends. What can Zoe do to get Grant to change his mind?   After the day she is having she doesn’t think anything will help. She is evicted from her apartment because she has too many animals. Now she has no place to go but to Grant for help. Anyway it was his fault that she lost her home. He gave her Bud the hamster to keep for him and Zoe did not know that her land lady didn’t like rodents. Well now is the time for the truth to come out. Can Zoe and Grant live together without touching each other? Does Grant feel the spark, every time they touch that Zoe feels? And what about the hot kisses Grant and she shared?

Grant Cortez is a very rich man and can have anything he wants but all he wants is his ranch and his special friendship with Zoe Jensen. He has been looking out for her since she was six years old.  Now she is a grown woman and he finds it hard to keep his hands to himself. What is he going to do? Now Zoe is homeless all because of him. Her parents are not coming home for Christmas. One kiss has Grant running for the hills. This can not be happening. You can not have these kinds of feelings for your best friend, or can you. Grant knows that he has to set some rules before Zoe comes and stays with him for Christmas. One of them has to be no kissing or touching. Grant knows this is hurting Zoe but to keep his own sanity he must do this. Will Grant be able to keep his rules with out losing Zoe?

THE RANCHER’S RULES by Lucy Monroe will melt you socks off. I loved how her characters interact and you can feel the tension between Zoe and Grant. This book rocks with sexual tension and both Zoe and Grant fighting it. I love this book and I know that others will too. Ms. Monroe, thank you for a fantastic read and I will treasure it for a long time.
