It isn’t often that a book without an HEA grabs my attention, but this one did.  As an author, I learned some interesting things that are and are not a good thing when writing one’s characters as nudes.  As a reader, some of the things I’ve thought about over the years were answered.

In this eclectic group of vignettes, emphasis is put on clothing as a sexual thing rather than an unclothed body.  For instance, a leather clad man or woman brings many images to mind from the short and sweet lovemaking to the more harsh realities of the D/s world.

The stories also give glimpses into the thought process a lover goes through to imagine what’s beneath that silky blouse or long skirt.  Even the undies that a person wears, or maybe not wears, depending on the outer garment can titillate the mind.  A pair of plain white briefs or panties might entice some people, where a skimpy thong would someone else.

While this book isn’t for everyone, I found it a treat.  The trip from one story to the next was somewhat like having a stack of gifts in front of you, each one a different size, waiting for you to open them.  It is definitely an influential writing tool, no pun intended.
