Eva Cordes, recent high school graduate, has just arrived in Los Angeles. She's itching for fame and fortune, but more than anything, she wants a chance to get to know her mother. Eva's mother used to be famous, now she's just infamous, and not for anything good. Unfortunately, there's a big gap between the fame and love she is seeking, and the reality she faces.

Stuck living with two girls her age, Coelle and Jacinda, already famous in their own right, Eva is about to learn the ropes from the pros. She finds, though, that life in L.A. is not all it's cracked up to be. She came to L.A. to escape her problems in Massachusetts, but Eva is finding out that leaving one set of problems behind opens up the door for a whole new set. Will Eva find her feet in the see and be seen world of L.A. or will she decide it's all too much to take? You'll have to read this compelling teen drama for yourself to find out!

Beth Killian spins a fascinating world of gossip, lust, and fame in LIFE AS A POSER. Eva is certainly not your ordinary teen. She's had brushes with fame courtesy of her mother, but she's never quite touched it herself. As she tentatively tries to fit in with the L.A. crowd, she starts to see herself in a new light. Beth Killian keeps Eva's journey realistic despite the artificial and shallow world Eva has stepped into. Eva is a charming girl whose yearning for love will surely touch your heart, but at the same time, the petty and overdramatic situations she gets herself into keeps her human. She's on a quest and this is just the beginning. Beth Killian has successfully started out her adventure and I for one can't wait to see what Eva does next. This is teen drama with a kick and plenty of panache.
