Knight's LIGHT MY FIRE (ROCKERS SERIES, BOOK 1) has family, many whom are talked about but not part of the actual story, friends, paparazzi and co-workers like the woo-hoo girls. Nate, a rock star, is a panelist on a new reality show while Lily is the host trying to shed her teenage image from a role she previously had in a television program. Her best friend, Kat, is the type of friend every girl should have and also grew up with her, Chase and Nate. Chase and Nate are also part of a band. The prologue helped set the stage for what was to come and whet my interest for more. The story is fast paced and a quick read with a lot packed in to the storyline of behind the scenes in Hollywood and how your personal life is not your own. There is a presumed happily ever after but an epilogue would have been nice because the story ended abruptly for me. Since this is book one in the series I hope to meet up with all of the characters again and get the closure I am looking for.
Knight is a fairly new to me contemporary romance author since I have previously only read WHAT A TEXAS GIRL DREAMS (TEXAS GIRLS, #3). I will add her other books including this series to my never shrinking TBR pile and give them a try. LIGHT MY FIRE is the last of four books in the Contemporary Romance Box Set Volume 2. Ninety days from when this set was first published, the box will be "broken" into four separate books, each one priced at $3.99. The other books in the set are: MAID TO CRAVE by Rebecca Avery, ALL I HAVE by Nicole Helm and THE LAST FIRST DATE by Maggie Wells, all of which I've already read and reviewed.
