Beth Murphy is determined to be the one and only woman in Joe’s life.  All she needs to do is convince him that they are destined to be together.   A task that proves to be harder than Beth first thought, particularly when Joe is equally resolved at maintaining a friend’s-only type of relationship between them.

Joe Harris is determined to right all his past wrongdoings, beginning with returning home to care for his ailing father.  What Joe does not have time for is being romantically involved with a woman, especially with one as enticing as his best friend’s younger sister. But, no matter how hard he tries resist, Joe cannot withstand Beth’s alluring charm.

Against his better judgment Joe gives into his desire to be with Beth.  Their blissfulness is short lived though, when a very public display of his father’s illness shames Joe into pushing Beth away.  However, Beth refuses to go down without a fight.  Will Joe be able to keep Beth at arm’s length?

LOST IN YOU is a great old-fashioned romance that I took great pleasure in reading.  The plot is engaging and easy for me to relate to it.  Beth is a strong-willed, feisty, independent woman who is not easily deterred from going after what she wants.  She is willing to head-on battle with anyone for Joe even if it means cleverly combating with Joe himself.  I love Beth’s resilience and her unconditional compassion towards Joe.  My heart goes out to Joe.  He is determined to carry the burden of his father’s condition on his own, while trying to maintain respect among the town folks.  The chemistry burns hotly between Beth and Joe.  Their countless sexual encounters are intense, passionate and very sensual. LOST IN YOU is book two in the Petal, Georgia series and can be enjoyed as a stand alone novel.  All in all, Lauren Dane’s LOST IN YOU is a heartfelt, fun-filled read.
