Laidback Reese Donovan is the owner of the Happy Crab Motel in Cedar Cove. He likes his simple life and doesn't intend to sell the motel to anyone. Reese is the third generation of Donovans to own and operate the motel and he doesn't want to live any other way. When Camille shows up to try to talk him into selling, the situation turns into a sexy encounter with a beautiful woman that Reese begins to enjoy way too much.
Camille's never taking no for an answer and Reese's never intending to say yes to her, creates a strong vibe to want to get to know each other better. As the days at the beach, the boat trips and lounging by the pool start to change the way Cami looks at the situation, even Reese can feel the sexual tension getting stronger. Both sides have secrets they don't want to share, but yet they start to form a bond that neither one is sure they want. This story is a definite page-turner and the sexual awareness between the main characters is hard to let go of.
I believe anyone who loves small-town tales as much as I do will fall in love with Coral Cove, Florida. The quirky characters and the small-town camaraderie will set a great backdrop for the budding relationship that starts to grow between Reese and Camille. Will Camille find a new life that is better than her all work and no play existence? Will Reese finally realize that all the past losses in his life are not his fault and he can open up to Cami and a new way of life?
This novel is one of old heartbreaks, new promises and the pain of betrayal. I very confidently give this book 5 Blue Ribbons at Romance Junkies' website because I think it is a marvelous story blending happiness and heartache together to find a blessed ending.
