Barth's LOVE AT HIGH TIDE was a quick read and reminiscent of the other books I've read by her. Quirky characters that work so well together, a little bit of a mystery to solve and hot and steamy romancing and loving. Darcy and Coop had chemistry from the first time they meet when Coop decides Darcy need rescuing from the ocean. From that moment on they were always together whenever they had a free minute. You could see each got where the other was coming from since both were at a crossroads in their lives. Watching them work through their issues and being supportive after only having just met created a feel good story. There were a few different storylines going on and most of the loose ends were tied up nicely by the end but a few more chapters would have been nice. I would love to see a sequel telling Brad or Trina's stories - Coop's cousin and Darcy's best friend, respectively. Plus we never got to "meet" Coop's mom or sisters that were always in the background. I'd also like to know if the happily ever after really happens and if it does what Darcy and Coop's lives turn out like.
