Isabella Severs’ sole focus is on earning the money to buy back Sundance before her jerk of an ex sells the horse at auction.  She’s far more comfortable with farm life than she is pretending to be a sexy while working at the Ugly Stick Saloon, but the pay is good and with any luck nobody will notice that she doesn’t have any of the attributes the other employees seem to have in spades.   The one thing she does have going for her is her riding skills and with the addition of a mechanical horse to the saloon it looks like tips might start rolling in.  Slap on a little bitty bikini, cowboy boots and leather chaps and she’s going to take a sensual ride that will have men salivating.

Brothers Gabe, Tanner and Sean O’Brien have all had their eye on Isabella.  Unfortunately not a single one of them has managed to get her to agree to go on a date.  There’s a distinct possibility she’s just not interested but none of them is willing to give up just yet.  Thanks to their father the youngest brother, Jesse’s, bachelor party will be held at the Ugly Stick Saloon and the old man even wheedled a deal to have Isabella as their entertainment for the event.

Isabella normally doesn’t dance or strip but she’s in desperate need of money so she agrees to do this one bachelor party – then she learns it’s for the O’Brien’s.  It’s not that she’s not attracted to the men because she is but her past experience has already taught her that she’s incapable of sexually pleasing a man and the Big “O” remains elusive.  She’s better off not even trying than suffering the embarrassment of failure over and over.  She’s turned down all three of the single O’Brien brothers individually but when they join forces… well, resistance is futile.

Myla Jackson’s BOOTS AND BAREBACK takes readers back to the UGLY STICK SALOON for the second story in the series.   The Ugly Stick Saloon is the sort of place where friends gather, get a little raunchy and in general have a good time, but it’s also a place where romances blossom when you least expect it.  Isabella’s love for a horse might have been what brought her to the saloon but she’s learned so very much about herself, life and love since she arrived and met the O’Brien brothers.  Isabella’s sweet, straight forward and sadly lacking in self-confidence – fortunately Gabe, Tanner and Sean aren’t put off by her rejections and do their level best to prove to her that she’s a desirable woman fully capable of the Big “O.”  BOOTS AND BAREBACK is a fun sensual read that is more like foreplay with a plot from the very beginning – and in typical Ms. Jackson style it still has enough heart to make you tear up and ache for Isabella, Gabe, Tanner and Sean at times.
