Nicole Carrington is at a tough spot in her life.  A happy housewife with a smart teenage daughter, she suddenly finds herself divorced and alone.  To top it all off, her home burns down and she is forced out of her comfort zone and into the unknown.

MADAM MIRABOU'S SCHOOL OF LOVE is one woman's journey of self-discovery and happiness.  Nicole is in turmoil when she moves to a new and different neighborhood after a freak accident.  All of a sudden she is meeting new people and rebuilding her life.  She is lost because she doesn't quite fit in with her old friends while her new ones take a bit of getting used to.  She decides to rekindle an old dream and open a perfume shop with her own custom blends.  Along the way she meets a new man, Niraj, and discovers life has so much to offer even when you think that your life isn't going quite as planned.

Ms. Samuel created such a wonderful character in Nicole.  Nicole isn't a confident, seize-the-day woman but just cautious.  She thinks that she has lost everything but as she realizes her dream of becoming a shop owner, she sees her life isn't so bad.  As she adapts to her new circumstances, as a divorcee, a different world has opened up.  Now she has a goal, some unconventional friends, a job that she enjoys and a dream that is just within reach.  Maybe it isn't too late to start over with new things.  MADAME MIRABOU'S SCHOOL OF LOVE is a great story about rediscovery and realizing that you are so much more than the sum of your parts.
