Ellie Harrison is at the end of her rope. Widowed with a young daughter, Ellie is forced to rent her ranch out to movie producers for location filming. If that weren’t humiliating enough, Fitz Kelleran, movie heartthrob, is pursuing her as though he actually found her attractive. Attractiveness aside, Ellie isn’t interested in a one night stand. She wants a permanent thing and sexy, classy, but useless Fitz Kelleran isn’t who she has in mind as an addition to a ranch which needs lots of TLC. When Fitz offers to BUY the ranch, it’s the last straw. Never mind the fact he makes her weak in the knees when he kisses her or the fact that her daughter would love the idea of Fitz being her step-father. Fitz leaves Ellie in a tough spot because without his financial help, the ranch is likely to go under. And Ellie can’t let that happen.

Being a fan of cowboy novels makes it easy to like this book, but it would be a fun book for anyone to read. Fitz and Ellie are both strong characters and have a strong mutual attraction for one another. There were a couple of other fun little sub-plots which will be expanded on in two of her other books: The Rancher Needs a Wife and Maybe, Baby. This was a very well-written story with plenty of action and will make you rush to read the rest of the series.
