Why is Payne Sterling’s picture on a bunch of romance novels? He knows one thing: he’s never posed for any portrait! Who is this artist that is using his photo? If it is the last thing Payne does, he’ll track this artist down. There is a book, called MANHATTEN MERGER, that parallel’s Payne’s life in more ways than one.

All Rainey Bennett wants to know at this very moment is this: why is Payne Sterling taking her to court? She did use his very beautiful face on some romance covers she did. When she was looking through her brother’s holiday pictures, she thought Payne had a great face. How was she to know he was a famous entrepreneur? Can she convince him that she is innocent?

As a successful tycoon, who’s been stalked before, Payne has to come up with quite a plan for Rainey! How will she ever pay him back? Payne decides to come up with a merger of his own, a MANHATTAN MERGER.

I found MANHATTAN MERGER to be incredibly touching. As a matter of fact, more than once I had a lump in my throat. Payne felt a connection with Rainey that he couldn’t explain and he did whatever he could to see her. Will Payne be able to tell Rainey how he feels? Rainey became an expert at painting Payne because she saw the deeper man within. Once she met Payne in person, her feelings magnified to almost a painful level. It was heart-wrenching to see Rainey deal with the pain of being in love with someone she thought she could not have.

Part of Harlequin Romances Tango miniseries, MANHATTAN MERGER provides a peek into the publishing world by discussing the work of artists and writers. As an avid reader and reviewer, I found this intriguing.

Read this delightful story and see if this is one merger that will work.
