Paris Montague loves her mother Athena and stepfather Brian, but she is not always happy with her mother's well meaning, but meddling ways. Athena's idea of having a family dinner is to invite eligible men who could be marriage material for her still single daughter. Athena's idea of "Mr. Right" for her daughter is someone who is rich and will provide her with grandchildren. Paris is in no hurry to settle down. She is happy with working with her stepfather in a business that is growing, thanks to all their hard work. She is more than content with her love life. Her secret lover,Tyson, is handsome and sexy and she does not demand any commitment from him. Tyson is the one who wants to be more than a "booty call" for Paris, but he is willing to bide his time.

JaBari Nolan seems to be Athena's perfect idea of a husband for Paris. He is rich, suave and gorgeous. Still, Paris does not completely trust JaBari and his smooth talk. Her gut feeling is JaBari is not who he seems to be. Is she paranoid or should she take another look at her true feelings for faithful Tyson? Tyson may not be wealthy yet, but he vows he has big plans.

Paris is an engaging heroine who is smart, sassy and sensuous. She seems afraid of a serious commitment, but that is understandable in today's world where too many relationships end in disaster. Tyson is a dream man, but a nice guy and sometimes even intelligent women get pulled into the web of "bad boys" like JaBari. The author's psychology education is much in evidence as she explores family dynamics and many varieties of relationships and love. There are plenty of spicy love scenes that will satisfy the most discriminating romance reader.

Nina Foxx has written several previous novels. Check out her website,, to listen to a song that goes perfectly with MARRYING UP. It also gives more details on past books as well as her upcoming one. I know you will be enchanted by her writing as much as I was.
