The Medusa Project started not long ago.  It is the first team of women to be admitted into the Navy SEALs.  Aleesha Gautier is one of those six women, and she's bent on being her absolute best.  She is also a surgeon, and saving lives is a natural instinct for her.  So her one possible problem with being a Medusa is taking lives.  When it comes down to the boiling point, will Aleesha be able to kill the bad guys to save the lives of the innocents?

Aleesha and the rest of the team train extremely hard, and they prepare themselves for being an excellent force for national security.  It's not long before the Medusas get their first mission.  A cruise ship has been hijacked by an unknown group of terrorists.  The terrorists have killed the crew and unloaded all male passengers.  They now hold four hundred children and a thousand women hostage.  After much political debate from the top level of national security, it's agreed that the Medusa team will go in as the surveillance team.

One of the terrorists is more than he seems, and Aleesha finds an unlikely ally in him.  Can she trust this man whom she's quickly becoming attracted to?  It's a hard decision to make when the lives of four hundred children are at stake!

MEDUSA RISING is the second book in the Medusa Project series by Cindy Dees, and it is awesome!!!  Full of intense action, suspense and amazing characters, this book is a definite keeper.  I really love everything about this book, and The Medusa Project series is one of the best mini-series I've ever read.  This series includes a team of kick-butt heroines that are rockin'!  I also love how the point-of-views change quickly.  It makes for a very fast-paced and intriguing story.  Cindy Dees has proven her right to be on my auto-buy list, and I'll never miss a book with her name on it.
