Emma Taylor has almost completed her job working for the fire department of a rural Ohio town.  After six months of hard work, she's made the office run more efficiently and with less paperwork.  With only a week left, her co-workers encourage her to make a play for SWAT member Jay Barnes and see if all the rumors about his prowess in bed are true.  Emma is tempted by a no-strings affair, especially since her last boyfriend was less than attentive to her needs.  Emma gets her chance when she's asked to help Jay with a mock hostage drill.  Up close and personal with him, Emma's more temped than ever.  However, it's probably best that any involvement with Jay be temporary; she could never give her heart to a man who puts his life on the line everyday.  But it might be too late.

J.C. Wilder's stories are always, always a pleasure to read but it's her heroine that pulls you in to TACTICAL MANEUVER.  Full figured and a touch shy, Emma plunges into a very heated affair and is vulnerable to heartbreak.  She'll discover that to love Jay, she'll have to love every part of him, dangerous job or not; it's a part of who he is.  In her Men of SWAT series, Wilder brings hot, gorgeous men and puts them in the path of true love.  This is the second story in this fabulous series and I can't wait for more!
