Men of S.W.A.T: Tactical Pleasure: Book 1
Mar 1, 2005 - 7:24:00 AM

As the well-respected owner of Fitzy's Diner, Miranda knows that dating John Stephens is bad for one's reputation. It's something she doesn't dare risk, even if she has had a crush on him for ages. Therefore, she flirts with all the guys of the Haven Police Department but dates none. It helps to keep things friendly in her diner.

Haven S.W.A.T. team officer, John Stephens has lusted after Miranda White for as long as he can remember. He's been longing to show her all the more creative uses for his standard issue handcuffs while reducing her pink polyester uniform to shreds. Now all he has to do is convince her that, reputation aside, he really does want her for more than a night or two.
TACTICAL PLEASURE is a wonderfully well-researched book. That depth of research shows in the wealth of detail to the police procedures shown in this little gem. Ms. Wilder's given us an interesting introduction to her latest series, creating characters that no matter how small a role they play to the plot completely capture the reader's attention. I, for one, can't wait to see if she'll do a book about Micah Whitefeather. Another thing I revel in with TACTICAL PLEASURE is the simple fact that Miranda is a real woman, from her worries to her physical being. I can relate to her in ways I never expected to, a true delight for me as a reader. This is another book that needs space on the keeper shelf.
