Koji spends all his time working. He spends at least seventy-five hours a week in front of his computer. It would never occur to him to take a vacation because he doesn’t realize that he is running himself into the ground. When his boss forces him to go on vacation for a week, Koji goes into a panic. A vacation is the last thing he wants, but he has no choice.

Naoto is an attendant at the White Tiger Hotel, an establishment that caters specifically to gay men. However the hotel is not just a job to Naoto it is also his home. After his partner’s murder Naoto is determined to seek revenge. He is on a direct path to self-destruction until he meets Kiku. Kiku takes him in and teaches him the way of the White Tiger, and thanks to Kiku’s teachings he finally begins to find some peace.

When Naoto sees Koji he knows that the beautiful yet fragile young man needs plenty of rest and relaxation. Koji brings out all of his protective instincts. Naoto senses that Koji is in desperate need of someone to care for him and he understands why he was chosen to take care of him. Koji is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. However, as he submits to Naoto’s gentle care and attention he begins to see a whole different side of himself. Both men are surprised by the intense connection between them.

MEN OF TOKYO: SUDDEN BLISS by Sedonia Guillone is a beautiful and intricately written romance that reminded me yet again why I love this author so much. Naoto and Koji are extremely well developed and endearing characters. By the end of the novel I came to care about them a great deal. The author takes her time allowing the reader to get to know the heroes feelings and motivations. Their relationship develops at a slow but sensual pace both physically and emotionally.  I thoroughly enjoyed every word of this novel and I eagerly await the next installment in this wonderful series.
