It’s been three long lonely years since Regina DeMaio’s husband passed away and she’s ready to end the dry spell.  She’s a successful woman in her own right with a published cookbook and she’s in talks for a television show but she’s looking to heat things up in a completely different way at the moment.

While attending her niece’s wedding rehearsal dinner Regina spots a man who really gets her juices flowing.  He appears to be Italian but she hasn’t met him before so she can’t figure out if he’s a DeMaio or not – until Sandy introduces him as one of her clients, the Italian duke Sergio Avanti, or as Regina’s come to think of him, Mr. Luscious.

Sergio owns a gourmet food company in Europe and he agreed to attend Sandy’s wedding after learning that Regina would be present.  He’s developed a fascination with the enchanting female after perusing her cookbook and listening to Sandy talk about her.

Regina and Sergio hit it off right away and leave the rehearsal dinner as soon as possible to do a little cooking of a different nature in his hotel room.  Any hope she had of getting him ‘out of her system’ proves to be futile because once she’s spent the night in Sergio’s arms she’s afraid she’ll never get enough.  Fortunately Sergio feels the same way and invites her for a week in his castello in Tuscany where they can indulge in all the erotic desires they can dream up and cook to their hearts content – in and out of bed.  Add in a few treasured toys and you have all the proper ingredients for a favorable good time.

Cerise DeLand’s MIA DOLCE combines a bit of BDSM, a fledgling relationship, and lots of good food to entice readers to lose themselves in this international storyline.  Regina and Sergio are perfect for each other yet they have their career opportunities that may drag them in different directions.  One of the things that I genuinely appreciated about this story is how realistic the characters are and how Sergio seems to appreciate that Regina prefers to remain as nature intended.  This is a beautiful story complete with lots of Italian phrases guaranteed to whet your appetite for international loving.
