Dynowski's MICAH'S JEWEL (MORETTI MEN SERIES, VOLUME 1) was a quick read that had religion playing too big a part since none of the blurbs I read said it was an inspirational or Christian romance. There were pages of dialogue that were from heaven and hell with angels, saints and God all playing a prominent role and they were interspersed throughout. The characters were well fleshed out and we are given hints throughout what is to come - not only in this book but in future books in the trilogy. Some of Micah's change of heart seemed a little hard to believe since he made a one hundred and eighty degree turn in his beliefs and what he wants in life and the man he was to become. There were vivid descriptions of the Triple-M and the buildings, cowboys and especially Micah's political career and aspirations. Sierra and he seemed to fall into sync immediately even though they had no contact for the past five years. It was fun to see them skirting around each other or being loving knowing some of their past history but they had great chemistry. Watching Delilah, his campaign manager, try to stir up trouble and act the way she did was hard to swallow at times. There was nice closure and a happily ever after and I look forward to seeing more of Micah, Sierra and their daughter Savannah in the upcoming books along with the others from the Triple-M plus Marek and Matteo.
Dynowski is a new to me author and I look forward to reading the next two books in the series even if they have a strong religious bent.
