If you've never read a book by Kat Martin, you don't know what you're missing. Thankfully, I seem to have found her just in time! MIDNIGHT SUN is my first Kat Martin experience, and boy am I glad that I didn't miss it. There will always be plenty of romance books available, but only a small majority will have "it", that special something that makes them stand out above all the rest. This is one such book.

Charity Sinclair wants an adventure. More than that, she needs an adventure, and to one place in particular---the harsh, lonely, desolate, but beautiful heart of the Yukon. Ever since she can remember, Charity's dreamed of visiting this place where the Gold Rush started. She doesn't know why she needs to go there; doesn't really even question the need anymore. All she knows is that this wild land and its place in history hold a place in her heart that can't be denied.

McCall Hawkins didn't come to the Dawson City for an adventure. He came to get away from people, to put his hard-hitting, money-making business persona behind him. Most of all, to put behind the tragedy that tore apart his life. He appreciates the beauty of this wild land, but also knows the dangers that it can hold. He values his peace and quiet. He came here to be alone.

Charity and Call find out quickly that what you want and what you get aren't always one and the same. Call wants quiet; Charity wants to fix up her cabin, the Lily Rose. Call prefers for his sexy neighbor to disappear into the woodwork; Charity would prefer that Call help rescue her from a brown bear.

This book is a sizzler. The sexual tension between Charity and Call steams up the pages, and their banter will leave you waiting to see just what these two can come up with next. It's easy to tell from their first meeting that these two are made for each other, and even though it takes them awhile to figure that out for themselves, you won't be disappointed in the journey.

I would highly recommend MIDNIGHT SUN to anyone who appreciates a good romantic suspense story, not to mention a darn good love story. This book will keep you laughing, yelling, sweating, and your blood pressure rising to the very end.
