Lauren has been blessed with a great life. She has a close and loving relationship with her two older sisters and father, even though Dad’s a bit of a hypochondriac. She loves her job as a photographer at her best friend Brandon’s studio, and is devoted to her church and bible studies. Unlike most women in their early twenties, Lauren is happily unattached. In fact, she has no plans to ever tie herself down in marriage. But that doesn’t keep her from playing matchmaker for her friends and acquaintances.

When Lauren met Nate, she had a vision of him and her sister Lexi marrying. A year later, Nate is her newest brother-in-law. Riding on the success of her match, Lauren moves on to the next couple she envisions walking down the aisle; Nick, the singles’ pastor and Ruby, her fellow photographer. Though Brandon tries to warn her about messing with God’s plan, Lauren is convinced Nick and Ruby are meant to be together.

Nick and Ruby, however, aren’t exactly following Lauren’s plan. So it’s up to Lauren to take charge and make them see just how right they are together. Along the way, she finds herself – the confirmed bachelorette – in a “fake” relationship that suddenly feels all too real.

If you’re looking for a humorous and lighthearted Christian romance, then pick up MISS MATCH. Lauren, her cast of friends, and their dating exploits will leave readers laughing. Lauren herself is enjoyable in her role of matchmaker, as well as in her quest to understand herself and life through the Lord. This is the first title in Erynn Mangum’s “Lauren Holbrook Novels”, and the second book, REMATCH, is due out in the fall of 2007. This is an upbeat spiritual read that will appeal to teens and young singles.
