Spencer Preston has helped Kelly through five years of searching for her missing husband, Chaz, providing her with emotional support. So when he asked her to marry him, Kelly feels that she will have the security of having Spencer around unlike Chaz, who enjoyed the thrill of his job trekking through the Amazon jungle. His plane went down in the Amazon Jungle, but his body was never found.

Kelly Vincent marries Spencer Preston in the morning and has a memorial service for her long lost husband Chaz Vincent in the afternoon. Spencer arranged it this way so that they could go on their honeymoon and not miss a lot of work. At the Memorial service, Kelly’s brother Scott is frantically trying to tell her something. Suddenly a voice from the past interrupts and announces "Honey I’m home." Kelly passes out and awakens to find that her long lost husband is not dead at all. Now she is faced with having two husbands. Which one is legally her husband? And the most important question, who does she love?

They all wind up at the hotel while Kelly figures out a way to tell Spencer that Chaz is still alive. Other people show up and the situation is getting out of control. Kelly has to find a way out of this mess. They decide she will spend time alone with each of them to decide.

Pam McCutcheon writes a hilarious love story that makes you laugh from beginning to end. The characters make it impossible to put this book down with their antics. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the outrageous ideas that Chaz came up with while they kept Spencer stewing trying to find them. Add in the pesky brother, meddling mother, someone else who loves Chaz, and to top it all off, someone else who loves Spencer, and MY FAVORITE HUSBAND comes with my recommendation for a great read.
